Simple Complexity, A Poem

Simple Complexity
by Jennifer Allison

Desire
is never simple
But it fools us otherwise
For it’s seeming simplicities
are wrought with complexities

I can’t help it but to return and view your drawing again. I can almost feel the touch. Truly well done!!!

Awe, thank you. While I was walking through one of the parks yesterday there were all these young teen lovers making out, and I thought of how easy it is for them. So I went home, pondered the complexity of it all, wrote the poem, then drew what I felt best described it. So glad you “got” it

It is always easy when young. When everything seems pure and innocent. Then it gets complex as we become older. When we want more… When reality steps in… I wonder when can we become wise about it all.

Good question. Perhaps when we stop trying? I don’t know.

Compromise, and a selfless heart always helps… together they make the breath of desire real!

Simplicity is a vertue, and we are not virtuous. We desire…absolutely right, what look simple at it’s core is complex and traitorous.
