Religion, A Photograph

“I have been astonished that men could die martyrs
for their religion–
I have shuddered at it,
I shudder no more.
I could be martyred for my religion.
Love is my religion
and I could die for that.
I could die for you.”
– John Keats

Prince’s song I would die 4U says a lot also as Keats words! Since love is such a treasure i would do it for the one I love, because i would always feel her loving embrace while waiting for her to one day come to my side! I love the photo and your post! Have a wonderful evening!

I love that song and I love that you know with such conviction what you are willing and happy to do. Bravo my friend.

The match in between quote and photograph was once again perfect. The religious statues (?) photographed, one seems phallic and the other seems to belong more to the female universe. Where was this photo taken, if I’m not intruding on the photographer’s mysteries? Which statues are those?

In Hawaii, strings of sea shells are placed around the necks of statues of the saints. I found it so beautiful the way Mary was placed on the high ground, looking so serene, full of shells, while the other (the saint unknown…so sorry) looks as if he’s almost begging for her to pray for him too.
