What IS, A Photograph of the Mysterious

“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious – the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science.”
– Albert Einstein

I took this photo in a garden grotto – while exploring its caves. I like that nature has made the bold statement of “IS.”

Yes, Nature perfectly created that message for you. But Nature also put you in just the right place to see it and the ability to capture it to share with the rest of us. Thanks Jennifer.

«And so it befell me that after so many attempts at naming the world, I am able only to repeat, harping on one string, the highest, the unique avowal beyond which no power can attain: I am, she is. Shout, blow the trumpets, make thousands-strong marches, leap, rend your clothing, repeating only: is!»

You’re welcome. And it seems to me that Milosz’s poem is also connected to another post of yours, A Restless Artist, particularly in Henry Miller’s line: «I see myself forever and ever as the ridiculous man, (…) always in search of the absolute,» just like Miosz’s “sponge” , which (who) cannot hold an absolute.
